April 19-23 Jones County Public Schools will be participating in the NC Farm to School lunch program. This means that each of our lunch items will be locally (NC) grown!
On Tuesday (April 20) each MES student will be given a packet of "goodies" from the NC Farm to School Program including a T-shirt. We will wear our T-shirts on Tuesday. Please see the attached menu as you plan for next week! MES will be showcased throughout the week....so be on the lookout!

Apply for JCPS Pre-K for the 2021-2022 school year!
Pre K registration applications can be found on the JCPS website under the Parent section of the menu. Once completed, applications should be brought to your child's nearest school or the Jones County Board of Education.
Mrs. Cheryl Ward will also be registering students at school sites the week of April 19 from 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
Her schedule will be as follows:
Monday, April 19: CES
Tuesday, April 20: PES
Thursday, April 22: MES
Friday, April 23: TES
Bus Riders .... We will be running double routes on TUESDAY morning and TUESDAY afternoon. Please be on the look out for Bus 130/Mrs. Wingate. This will impact the pick up and drop off times tomorrow. Please be ready and waiting for her. She will run her typical route, then come out for the second route as soon as she can.

MES Tower of Books Challenge!
Students are challenged to read 20 books from the Epic collection, complete the corresponding quiz, and turn in a book slip. Any student who completes the challenge will win a pizza party!

Spring picture day is coming soon. Tuesday, March 23 will be spring picture day. Due to COVID restrictions, there will not be classroom/group photos taken.
IMPORTANT: 100% Virtual Students and 6th grade Cohort B students wishing to have their pictures made should come to the school at 8:30am on Tuesday.
JCPS Families - The National Weather Service has issued a severe weather advisory for tomorrow afternoon. Thunderstorms, high winds, heavy rain and hail, along with a concern for tornadoes are forecast beginning as early as 2p.m. in our area. Therefore, school will dismiss at 12:00pm tomorrow, March 18th, for all staff and students. Please stay safe and take necessary precautions.
